What type of information I have
Hearth and Nook uses commenting and social media plug-ins provided by Squarespace. Squarespace may collect your name and email address when you comment on a blog post on Hearth and Nook.
How I get the information and why I have it
Personal information in the form of names and email addresses is provided to me by you via Squarespace when you comment on a blog post.
I automatically receive information regarding your geographic location and pages accessed via Squarespace Analytics.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases I rely on for processing this information are:
(a) we have a contractual obligation.
(b) I am required to comply with a legal and/or regulatory obligation.
(c) I have a legitimate interest.
What I do with the information I have
I use the information that you have given me in order to:
- understand your needs;
- provide you with a better service; and
- interact with visitors to the site including responding to any comments you post on a blog post.
I may share this information with:
- service providers and affiliates (Squarespace) who assist in the delivery of my products and services
